Hi there :)
I would like to know what type of files are considered DVD files? I need them for a player that reads only DVD (no divx, avi etc)
What should i search for? What types of files? I was on one site that had DVD videos, but the format were mpeg 2, mpeg 4 stuff like that..
Is that what i am after or?

Yep, that sounds right. DVD uses mpeg2 compression as far as I know...I'm not the most technologically knowledgable person when it comes to DVDs...however I love movies =P haha
But i do know that if you want files that your DVD player WILL play, DVDs use mpeg 2 compression.
Anyone else got any ideas for TheeyaN?

vob files are the correct file type for dvd. vob like winki said is mpeg2. but dont for get the ifo & bup files which hold info like cuesheet on which chapter plays next. bup files are usually the menu screens

When you search for dvd files your content would either a folder "VIDEO_TS" containing several files named above or a single file named .iso ore .img or .mdf. These are imagefiles. First can be burned with Nero f.e.

If you already have the VIDEO_TS folder with VOB files in it, you could try ImgBurn. It's free and has never disappointed me.

Yes,all of the files are there, but they are divided so thats strange to me. I cant open anything with my PC,i guess i dont have the needed codecs for DVD..
