What is a good DEPENDABLE and FREE image host. Imageshack makes me nervous since they got hacked and Tinypic is just stir fried crap. Photobucket isn't reliable either.
So is there a consensus on which pic host to use here? Because the hosts listed ain't making it

imagebanana.com works pretty good for me.

I still use tinypic, but I have my own upload for images on there, but its a lot better if you use an account there because you can go back and check to see what images you uploaded ... plus it doesn't have a bandwidth limit, and image file size is 200 MB. It's also nice because you can hide a zip file inside a jpg and use tinypic to host it biggrin.gif

Lots of people use http://imgur.com/ now. It's really popular for Digg and Reddit pictures. But I still use Tinypic most of the time. I used imageshack for everything up until maybe 2 years ago, when their ads got out of control.

Tinypic is what I use ...imgbanana is second in my list

you guys aren't having issues with Tinypic?? It was good until about 6 months ago, but now that site is so slow the pics sometimes don't even register. Have an imageshack account, but that site got hacked and not sure it's secure enough. Maybe I'll try photobucket. Thanks for your input

I don't have any issues with tinypic.
It is a bit slow, but not worse than the others that I tried, nothing terrible.

I have been using a photobucket free account for years with no issues. Plenty of ppl use tinypic so they must be reasonable.

I'll keep using it, but sometimes the site seems suspect to say the least. Maybe I'm just overly cautious with sites I upload files to.

I just noticed that tinypic recompresses images sent to it...so - not recommended.
