Topic says it all. Mostly listen to alot of vocalists (Sarah McLauchlan, Michael Buble, genre doesn't really matter), and I've also gotten into pop musicians similar to Lady GaGa and Katy Perry.

Your wisdom would be much appriciated.

Thanks

I would recommend Afrodisiac by Brandy and/or Just Like You by Keyshia Cole. I think both are few of the greatest R&B/HipHop/Pop albums to date... These are 2 of the few albums I've listened to on which I actually enjoyed every single song!

Anther recommendation from me would be Blackout by Britney Spears. Personally I think this album is simply Pop Hotness! I still can't believe it took me 6 months before my first listen of this album... But it is a great album! Probably the best Britney ever released! To bad it went to be such a waste... After this album I actually anticipated Circus, but Circus simply disappointed me, especially after listening Blackout and knowing what Britney actually is capable of...

Not so really my genre, but if you like "clear" voices i would suggest the first album by Tracy Chapman.

I don't listen to a lot of female singers but I too like clean vocals....I'd reccommend Bob Schneider (songs sung and played on guitar at the same time), I love Cat Steven's voice, Jack Johnson, more on the pop/rock side Jimmy Eat World, Mason Jennings, Mat Kearney

Bullet for my valentine, they're good, except I hate when they scream in their songs:(

I have picked some of my favourite albums from a selection of female artists who I think have clear voices all singing contempory music and I have put an asterisk in front of the ones I like the best

How about Barbra Streisand I think these are all good
Barbara Streisand - The Broadway Album
Barbra Streisand - Barbra Streisand's Greatest Hits
*Barbra Streisand - Emotion
Barbra Streisand - Greatest Hits Volume II
*Barbra Streisand - Guilty
*Barbra Streisand - Memories

Or how about Linda Rondstadt
*Linda Ronstadt & The Nelson Riddle Orchestra - What's New
Linda Ronstadt - Cry Like A Rainstorm - Howl Like The Wind
*Linda Ronstadt - For Sentimental Reason
*Linda Ronstadt - Greatest Hits Volume 1
Linda Ronstadt - Greatest Hits Volume Two
Linda Ronstadt - Hummin' To Myself

OrMacy Gray if you like clear like kermit the frog
Macy Gray - On How Life Is

or one of my favourites Eva Cassidy
Eva Cassidy - American Tune
*Eva Cassidy - Wonderful World
Eva Cassidy & Chuck Brown - The Other Side
*Eva Cassidy - Imagine

Have fun
Cheers

Not so really my genre, but if you like "clear" voices i would suggest the first album by Tracy Chapman.

Tracy is excellent. Also, Louis Armstrong has fantastic vocals. Classic Louis should be on your list. Also, you might want to check out the Pixies. Surfa Rosa & Doolittle are very good albums.

Vocals primarily, hmm. Also the Dave Matthews Band -- a lot of clarity.

Umm, can you name some other stuff you like?

If you're at all into post-hardcore/"emo"/alternative, I can recommend a few good bands:

Brand New

Thursday

Saosin

Taking Back Sunday

Matchbook Romance

Funeral For a Friend

Also check out The Legion of Doom. They mashed up a few of these artists.
