My favorite album, most likely the most slept on album would be Power of the Dollar.
So I ask you, what's your favorite rap album?

Oh, and I'll just ask this here because I don't know where else to ask it is; What are log/cue sheets used for?
Thanks.

Eminem's The Eminem Show was pretty good, I thought all the songs were solid.

You should give a listen to an early hardcore gangster rap group called The Dayton Family. I have 2 releases by them on 320 kbps but haven't been able to locate any FLAC by them. REAL good stuff !!

Cannot tell about best Rap Album, cause i do not listen to Rap, but i will answer the technical question:

The log file tells you how the CD was ripped to HD and proves the origin of the files - but it needs trust to the upper, because it´s not proveable if the log and the files belong together (afaik?).

The cue sheet has all info written in about the indexing of the tracks. With this info you can burn the files exactly like the original CD was - and you can use it for splitting range rips or as a playlist file in some players.
